7 Places the MyDomaine Editors Want to Go Back to in 2019

As MyDomaine editors, we're privy to some of the most beautiful, historic, and under-the-radar destinations in the world. The job demands that we stay in the know about the newest hotels, the best locations, and the most worthwhile experiences.

We're constantly doing research and talking with experts, and every once in a while, we even get the opportunity to pack our own bags to experience these magical places for ourselves. Whether on press trips or personal vacations, we've collectively traveled all over the world in the past year alone-from the Caribbean and Rome to New Zealand and Paris.

Because we're always traveling and exploring new spots, a destination has to be pretty special to warrant a second visit, but there are a few that make the cut. Ahead, discover seven editor-approved travel destinations so nice we'd visit them twice. These are the cities we've already explored but would happily visit again. Trust us-they're worth the trip.

Yellowstone National Park

I've been lucky enough to visit quite a few national parks (from Joshua Tree and Yosemite to Zion and Arches), but Yellowstone took my breath away when I visited this past spring. Old Faithful lived up to the hype, and the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring was a must-see, but I'd love to go back and hike to a few under-the-radar attractions like Specimen Ridge and Morning Glory.

This summer, I traveled to Russia for the World Cup, and I'm already itching to go back! I spent a lot of time exploring Moscow, wandering through Red Square, and eating Georgian food, but I'd love to stroll through the streets of St. Petersburg. My itinerary would definitely include a visit to the impressive State Hermitage Museum and the ornate Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul.

I have a feeling this tiny Caribbean island will be calling my name again come February. With a population of just over 14,000, it was the perfect warm-weather respite from cold and overcrowded New York last winter. Plus, it doesn't get any more beautiful or off-the-grid than the Belmond Cap Juluca Hotel. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Cancun, Mexico

I've been wanting to go to Mexico ever since I moved here four years ago, and I finally made the trek last month to Cancun. I stayed at the stunning Andaz Mayakoba resort, and I'd definitely go back again. The white-sand beaches were so idyllic, and they're actually combed by hand every day, which was very relaxing to watch from my balcony each morning. I dined at all the restaurants during my stay, and the food is delicious. You'll find a modern traditional mix of Mexican flavors with an abundance of fresh, local ingredients. My favorite was breakfast at the Cocina Milagro, where they make fresh omelets and serve their signature green juice with cactus on tap.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Tankah Park, which is located in Tulum and run by villagers who live on the premises. The guide takes you on a tour of the cenotes, which are natural freshwater pools with the clearest water you've ever seen. The locals are incredibly passionate about preserving the surrounding jungle and pools, which are mostly left untouched and in their natural state. You have to remove your sunscreen and bug spray in order to swim there, as they don't want to contaminate the water. There's a bunch of fun activities, too, such as going ziplining across the largest cenote, which I did, and it was a total blast. I highly recommend.

Capri, Italy

I'd go to Capri every year if I could. The food, the people, the shopping… It really doesn't get any better than this beautiful island off the Amalfi Coast. Though it's definitely packed with tourists during the summer, it lives up to the hype, and there's really nowhere else like it in the world. If you're someone who loves the simple joy of lounging by an ocean-view pool or on a rocky Mediterranean beach while scarfing down spaghetti, you'll understand why I want to go back.

Barcelona, Spain

I traveled to Barcelona when I was just 18, and I think it's about time I return for a proper exploration of the city. There is so much art and architecture to take in, not to mention the most delicious paella in the world. I'd go back in a heartbeat toВ walk along the rocky coast of the Mediterranean and spend day after day wandering the hallsВ museums like theВ Museu Picasso and the Casa Museu GaudГ.

Sonoma, California

A recent press trip landed me in Sonoma, California, for just a few days, but I'd happily return for an extended visit. It's a short flight from Los Angeles and offers sweeping views of hilly vineyards that rival those of the Tuscan countryside. However, just a few days wasn't enough to visit even a fraction of the vineyards located in the region. I'd go back and stay at Kenwood Inn & Spa for a Mediterranean experience in Northern California.
