It's no secret that in 2017, we instinctively turn to Pinterest for dГ©cor inspiration. We scroll, search, and pin until we find The One-that elusive pin that is unique, perfectly imperfect, and inspires our entire dГ©cor scheme. What makes a pin go viral? Some interiors get very little love on Pinterest while others skyrocket and end up in every single one of our dream home dГ©cor boards. We set out to find the common thread between these sensations of the Pinterest world.
To do this, we tapped our favorite Pinterest influencersВ to share their most popular pin this month. These interior designers, creative directors, and freelance stylists have built a cult following on the social platform, thanks to their curated aesthetics and discerning eye. Their feeds are a veritable color-coordinated feast for the eyes. Their pins can easily dictate how we paint our nails, dress for spring, or decorate. One particular pin-a cozy Scandinavian entryway-had over 78,000 impressions in March only. Curious to know how to re-create the look of these rockstar rooms? We found the best dГ©cor options to do so.
The Undone Bedroom
"I like the rural character the old bedroom door gives to this space," says designer and bloggerВ Sarah Peteghem. "The dГ©cor and bedding are kept very clean and minimal, which contrasts very nicely with the old wood." Scandinavian interior lovers, rejoice. Munich-based Peteghem covers all things modern European design on her Pinterest boards.
The Timeless Living Room
"Interior designer Tom Delavan's apartment is the epitome of minimalistic chic," gushes Copenhagen-based writer Katie Armour Taylor. "I love the large scale of the lantern and calm neutral tones." The American expat isn't the only one to reminisce about the timeless home of the former DominoВ editor at large-the living room was her most popular pin this month.
The Cozy Entryway
"I'm a sucker for a bold patterned wallpaper," says Wit + Delight founder, Kate Arends. "I've got this amazing floral wallpaper from Hygge & West in my powder room, and I'm dying to find a new space to incorporate another bold print." With over 2.5 million followers on Pinterest, this marketing consultant really has her finger on the pulse.
The Minimalist Moment
"Louise Liljencrantz designs are so chic," says freelance stylist and blogger Jennifer Hagler. "I especially love the shadows in this photo but also the Noguchi lamp, because I have the same one in my bedroom." HalgerВ built a large Pinterest following for her sharp eye and minimalist aesthetic.
The Bold Bookcase
"The explosion of color in this living room is a feast for the eyes," says Apartment 34 founder,В Erin Hiemstra. "I'm a huge fan of dark walls, but it's rare to see a dark room paired with such bright tones. As this space illustrates, a unique idea can totally work." The San Fransisco-based creative knows a thing or two about dark interiors, having recently completed a townhouse renovation that included a perfectly moody roomВ of its own.
The Styled Bar Cart
"The mix of elements here is the epitome of my style," says creative director and blogger Erika Brechtel. "I love mixing something sleek and sexy like this Kate Moss photograph by Mario Testino with brass vintage pieces, a midcentury modern classic, and finds from around the world." Brechtel is known for her interior style that blends off-duty-model chicВ with modern glam accents.Parachute Linen Sheet Set $169ShopSchoolhouse Electric City Pendant $79ShopCB2 Mohair Grey Throw $149ShopSpeedy Trade Lighting Rice Paper Sphere Ceiling Light $25ShopThe Moroccan Room Moroccan Rug $795ShopFrance & Son Marble Tulip Coffee Table $699ShopCB2 Overlook Throw $129ShopThe Fifth Hand Shop Vintage Leather Tripod Stool $61ShopWalnut Wallpaper Secret Garden $198ShopWest Elm Atelier Leather-Wrapped Nightstand $719ShopCB2 Cora Carafe $13ShopNoguchi Akari Lamp 22N $175ShopBenjamin Moore River Blue $37ShopChairish Vintage Handmade Rug $249ShopCB2 Faux Phoenix Palm Leaf $11ShopChairish Gold Ice Bucket $75ShopTick Tock Lewis Kate Moss Print $25ShopThreshold Leather Bar Cart $123Shop
